During the lockdown The Lost Gardens of Heligan stepped up to the front to help us with growing vegetables for our fortnightly Veg bags.  This meant we could continue to provide the bags to individuals in the community especially some of our more vulnerable residents who were not able to access the community due to health issues and isolation.  Even though the lockdown has eased over the last few weeks we are delighted that Heligan are still supplying vegetables for our bags.

Even more exciting is the news that we are in the early stages of a new chapter in the People & Gardens/Heligan relationship. More news will follow shortly on here.

What has been exciting is that the skills everyone learnt at Watering Lane on the ‘Field of Hope’ project have been transferable to Heligan. Along with the skills has been an enormous dose of self-confidence and self-esteem.  We are very grateful to the funding received in April 2019, given to us by The National Lottery Community Fund, which has enabled us to extend the skills offered to more volunteers.
